Inspired by the thinking of Vanda Scaravelli, informed by The Feldenkrais Method®

The Scaravelli inspired approach focuses on developing a very different experience of core strength strength and stability, through releasing tension and creating ease and length in the spine.

It is a stress-free yoga that benefits everyone.  

It uses the breath and gravity to un-do holding patterns that we all accumulate and allows the spine to move more efficiently and effortlessly.

Allowing for more freedom and ease of movement that is energising to the whole body.

FELDENKRAIS METHOD

The Feldenkrais Method is a powerful, innovative approach to learning. Blending biology, physics, neuroscience, and motor development, it is designed to engage with our brain’s “neuroplasticity,” (our brain’s awesome ability to change, rewire itself, adapt and repair), to benefit our body and how we move and function in life.

Through gentle movement combined with directed, relaxed attention, you will increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, rediscover graceful, efficient movement and re find your natural ability to move, think and feel with spontaneity, joy and ease. What’s not to like!!

Feldenkrais lessons are safe, gentle, and suitable for people of all ages and abilities. They help you change habitual patterns of posture and self-use and improve your physical comfort. Whether you want to be more comfortable sitting at your computer, playing with your children and grandchildren, re-learn skills and function following an injury or stroke, improve and refine performance skills, or simply feel more stable and present doing what you love, this respectful, potent approach will give you back more choice and more freedom.

This learning process can be experienced in two different ways:
Exercises called Awareness Through Movement® and individual hands-on sessions called Functional Integration®.
